Richard Lefevre started his project management career in the research and development medical industry, facilitating neurosurgical improvements and techniques with surgical teams from around the world, including Mexico, Brazil, Germany, Canada, Japan and China. It was here that he was able to find a passion for medicine and science, as well as project management. He learned an array of project management techniques including waterfall, agile and hybrid approaches. He was a collegiate honors athlete in the PAC-10 where he played rugby for three years, finishing his last two years as team captain. He brings an athletic approach to project management, setting up his teams for tries and conversions, while managing rucks and mauls and capitalizing on advantages. Richard has managed many types of medical and scientific projects that have led to scientific publications and research grants, such as approaches to reduced postoperative dysphagia and varying techniques to approach the deep pituitary gland of the brain. Richard moved to Phoenix, Arizona in the early 1990s however, spent his first 13 years of life in Misawa, Japan where his father served in The United States Army. He moved to the Midwest in 2017 to join Sanford Health where he has facilitated more traditional projects involving mergers and acquisitions, software development, federal and local government programs and, COVID related efforts with Sanford Health. Living in the Sioux Falls, South Dakota area, Richard enjoys time with his wife and three children where they live an active lifestyle, which includes sports activities and regular trips to coasts around the world for surfing, relaxing and downtime together.
