The PMISD Community of Practice focuses on inspiring, connecting and growing people through the experience of others and strengthening the Project Management profession. BIO: Jennifer Schmidtbauer has been with Raven Industries for eight years and is currently serving as the Director of Talent Development.  She is responsible for helping develop business leaders across the company.  Prior to joining Raven, Jennifer was Vice President of the non-profit organization Downtown Sioux Falls, Inc. and previous experience includes 13 years as a contractor to the U.S. Geological Survey where she served as Science Director. Jennifer graduated with a Master’s degree from the University of South Dakota, and holds a Bachelor degree from St. Cloud State University. Jennifer and her husband Mark enjoy the arts and the outdoors, and spend their free time hiking, kayaking and watching wildlife near their home southeast of Brandon.

Event Content:  This hands-on presentation will allow participants to observe and reflect on Emotional Intelligence abilities and examine the predominant personality types present in the workplace.  Key audience take-aways include: 1) Recognize the primary Emotional Intelligence skills and their importance for one's success 2) Distinguish different personality preferences and compare strenghts and weaknesses of each 3) Integrate this knowledge to optimize relationships in one's personal and professional life
